The image is imprinted on the tilma of Juan Diego. Until now, there are no explanations that can prove that the images was done by mere human hands. The image appeared after the Blessed Virgin placed and arranged roses inside the tilma  before sending Juan Diego to show it to the bishop. At the right is the close up image of the pupil, reflecting the image of the bishop at the left who is bending and looking at the tilma at the right.&lt;br /&gt;   The other eye shows an Indian family. It suggests that during the apparitio&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 102, 0);"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;n, there was a great attack on the family and the Lady had apparitions to stop them. They had been used to depict stories from the bible and serve as reminders of the devotion we give to God.
