Art and Traditions of the Catholic Church

Art and traditions have a lot of significance in the Roman Catholic church's history. They had been used to depict stories from the bible and serve as reminders of the devotion we give to God. As for myself, I'm very fond with how artists depict the lives of saints and the events in the bible through paintings and other forms of art, and how different places around the world celebrate
their
Church traditions. As a painter and artist, I am curious to know more about the history and wonders that different paintings, sculptures and traditions have in relation to the Church. Moreover, I am in search of explanations and meaning on symbols and depictions. For those who have lots of insights, feel free to share them. Thanks!

Holy week is near. In Spain and in the Philippines, images of Christ and of the saints are paraded depicting his death and resurrection.
